Got the rad fitted, strange thing is a standard 1970/1973 cortina top rad pipe fits the bottom one as well :) so only one pipe to rember when i want to replaice them,

to test it i went in the busy traffice (rush hour stop start ), and a blast down the motor way and held it for a few miles, legal speed limit of course :-X,  all ok  ;)

Temp gauge stayed at about 1/4 in the very busy traffic a bit under 1/2 on the run ,

next thing new springs on the front,as i have put stronger springs on the rear,

That's good news, pleased to hear you have got it sorted.

I have acquired a rather tatty radiator that was running a 2.0 Pinto in a Ranger, have bodged it in (front fixing had been cut away) & initial tests seem a lot better, so if it works properly I will be replacing the radiator with a new one, so would be interested where yours came from.
